Body

Issue/Request:

Second discussion on existing ordinance and revisions.

This is a continuation of the CEDC discussion that was held on May 14, 2025 in which the CEDC, through consent, directed staff to bring this forward to the full council.  The full council heard the initial presentation on November 04, 2025.  Staff was given clear direction to craft a draft ordinance that allowed for eight chickens (hens only) on residential parcels greater than 1/2 acre.

Key Issues

If the residential parcel is greater than 1/2 acre, the owner can have up to eight chickens (hens only)
