This is a discussion item reviewing the current LCRA Policy as it exists in the City of Lee's Summit Economic Development Incentive Policy. The review will include economic development tools in general, a brief history of the LCRA, specific LCRA tools available, and a review of the current policy statements. Any proposed changes to the existing policy will be brought back before the LCRA Board and the City Council at a later date.
Background:
The LCRA was originally formed in 1961 and has experienced 3 distinct operating periods. The current LCRA policy was last updated in 2020.
