This presentation provides an overview of the role planning staff play in reviewing development applications. It explains the key areas staff evaluate, including zoning and land use, site design, transportation, infrastructure, environmental considerations, architectural standards, and compatibility with surrounding properties and how those reviews help ensure proposed developments comply with the City's adopted plans and ordinances.
The training is intended to help Planning Commissioners better understand the technical review process, the basis for staff recommendations, and how staff analysis supports informed decision-making throughout the development review process.
