Title
LS 360 Final Report
Body
Issue/Request:
Co-Chairs Jon Ellis and Vicki Cundiff will be presenting an overview of the accomplishments and ongoing initiatives that are a result of the "Lee's Summit 360- Charting Tomorrow" strategic plan.
Key Issues:
The strategic plan was created by a citizen engagement process that ultimately led to the adoption by the City Council on August 6, 2009. Typically the City of Lee's Summit community conducts a strategic planning process that includes a broad base of stakeholder groups and citizens to build a vision and targeted goals for the future. The Co-Chairs will provide a final report on the activities that have occurred since the adoption of the plan. It may be the City Council's interest to begin thinking about the next planning process to be adopted in 2018 or 2019. Typically the strategic planning process can take between 12 to 16 months to complete, starting with selection of the co-chairs, development of the planning process, stakeholder participation, drafting of plan, and final presentation for City Council adoption.
