Issue/Request:
The City of Lee’s Summit proposes to amend the 2021 Ignite! Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map to bring depicted land use designations for 7 sites into alignment with development projects that have completed the entitlement process and been approved by City Council. The map updates reflect development project approvals from late 2019 through 2023.
Previously, comprehensive plan land use maps were only updated at the time a new comprehensive plan was adopted. With this application, staff is initiating the process of updating the comprehensive plan land use map on a yearly basis to reflect development approved within the previous calendar year.
