Body

Issue/Request:

An Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 9981 related to the Schedule of Fees and Charges for the City of Lee's Summit and establishing a new Schedule of Fees and Charges to take effect July 1, 2025 for the City.

Key Issues:

-Airport - Hanger rates adjusted for CPI 2.9%, addition of Hanger 2 Rates, Restructure of Hanger 1 & Hanger 2 rates based on with or without annual minimum annual fuel purchase, addition of some service fees based on additional services that have been requested, increased options for deicing, and updated the Special Event fees for aircraft to address needs for additional staff and services during local and regional special events.

-Ground Ambulance rates adjusted based on expenses and call volume

-Police - some minor changes to administrative costs and rates

-Water Utilities - updated Water, Sewer, and connection rates - Public Hearing for Sewer Rates prior to adoption by the City Council was on March 18, 2025
