Discussion: Mayoral succession beyond Mayor Pro Tempore

Currently, the rules related to the City Council as well as the Charter do not provide for succession of Mayoral powers and duties beyond the Mayor Pro Tem. Chair Shields has requested information related to the order of succession of other cities within the metro. Please find attached a chart that references several cities within the metro, most of which do not provide for any additional succession. However, notably Kansas City, Overland Park and Independence have provisions for the succession of Mayoral powers and duties. Please also find the relevant code provisions from those cities attached as well.
