An Ordinance Approving the Purchase of furniture and fixtures from Spaces, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $623,125.45 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Issue/Request:
This furniture package includes workstations, desks, tables, and chairs for offices, furniture for quiet rooms, locker rooms, work rooms, lounges, patios, break areas, and public reception areas for the Joint Operations Facility.
Funding for the furniture is included in the NTI 2023 Bond package for the Joint Operations Facility.
To acquire a solution to address our training needs, RFP #2025-25 was released. Five firms responded to the solicitation.
Proposals were reviewed by a committee, including staff from the Fire Department, Central Building Services, and the Police Department. After proposal reviews, Space, Inc. was selected as most advantageous to the City.
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move for approval and to recommend to City Council this Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to approve the purchase of furniture and fixtures from Spaces, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $623,125.45 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Timeline:
-Start: upon passage of the agreement. Estimated completion: June 2026.
