Issue/Request:
An Ordinance authorizing the execution of a Cooperative Service Agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri (Kansas City - Lee's Summit Regional Airport), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services (WS), to cooperate in a wildlife damage management project and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· The United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services (WS), (“APHIS-WS”) has agreed to provide the necessary services to manage the raptor and coyote population at the airport to prevent property damage and protect human health and safety at Kansas City - Lee’s Summit Regional Airport in accordance with the Cooperative Service Agreement (“Agreement”).
· The project period shall commence on September 1st 2026, and expire on March 31st 2027.
· The estimated amount to complete the work is $5,600.00.
