Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 17932172 for the LXT - General Aviation Terminal Project to Civic Elite Contracting in the amount of $9,512,672.65 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Key Issues:
· This project includes the construction of a modern general aviation terminal building as included in the currently adopted five-year CIP.
· This project is being funded by the Transportation Sales Tax and by an FAA Airport Terminal Program, ATP, Grant.
· Public Works Engineering issued a bid for Project No. 17932172 on May 7, 2025, in accordance with local policies and state statutes.
· Civic Elite Contracting (hereinafter “Contractor”) was determined to be the lowest and best responsible bidder by City staff.
· The project included a 120 day bid hold to give the FAA time to prepare the ATP Grant.
· The City desires to enter into an agreement with the Contractor to construct Project No. 17932172.

I move to recommend to City Council for approval of an Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 17932172 for the LXT - General Aviation Terminal Project to Civic Elite Contracting in the amount of $9,512,672.65 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Background:
The adopted Airport Master Plan Update includes a modern general aviation terminal building as part of the east side development. The new facility will include modern day design and material considerations.
