Issue/Request:

Lakewood Pool Parking Expansion is a proposed parking lot expansion at 4140 NE Dick Howser Dr.  The preliminary development plan (PL2022-441) was approved by City Council on September 19, 2023.  The applicant then submitted the final development plan which was approved by staff on October 19, 2023.

 

Per Section 2.380 of the Unified Development Ordinance, final development plan approval is valid for 12 month, however, the Governing Body may grant one extension of 12 months written request of the original applicant.  Due to more time needed to assess the unexpected project costs and other alternatives, the applicant requested an extension of the final development plan approval prior to the approval expiring on October 19, 2024.

 

There are no proposed changes to the approved final development plan with this extension request and all conditions of the zoning and preliminary development plan are still applicable.  The ordinance is attached to the memo.

 

Proposed City Council Motion:

I move to approve the extension request for Appl. #PL2023-248 - Final Development Plan extension request - Lakewood Pool Parking Expansion, 4140 NE Dick Howser Dr, Lakewood Property Owners Association, applicant.
