Currently, the City has a contract for lobbyist services with the James Durham and his partnership The Britton Group. That Contract expires on December 1, 2023. Staff caused publication of RFP 2024-033 for lobbying services. The City received one bid. The bidder is Versa Governmental Strategies who provided a bid price of $60,000.00 per year. After investigation and consideration, the Legislative and Intergovernmental Relations City Council Committee recommended award of the bid to Versa Governmental Strategies and approval of the contract. This contract is for a term of one year with two automatic renewals. You will find attached the contractor's proposal as well as the proposed contract.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City solicit proposals via the RFP process utilizing a form similar to that used in 2020.
