Issue/Request:
An Ordinance authorizing the execution of a Cooperative Service Agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri (Lee's Summit Municipal Airport), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services (WS), to cooperate in a wildlife damage management project and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· The United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services (WS), (“APHIS-WS”) has agreed to provide the necessary services to manage the raptor and coyote population at the airport to prevent property damage and protect human health and safety at Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport in accordance with the Cooperative Service Agreement (“Agreement”).
· The project period shall commence on October 18, 2023, and expire on September 30, 2024.
· The estimated amount to complete the work is $5,300.
