Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving a Transportation Alternatives Program Funding Supplemental Agreement between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission related to the public improvement project designated as Federal Project Number TAP-3001(015), Ward Road Improvements from Blue Parkway to O'Brien Road, within the City limits of Lee's Summit, Missouri and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.

Key Issues:
· Pursuant to the FY2023 Capital Improvement Plan and Thoroughfare Master Plan, the City planned for improvements along Ward Road between Blue Parkway and O'Brien Road to enhance safety and operations and accommodate non-motorized transportation (hereinafter "Project").
· The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission ("hereinafter MoDOT") approved the City's submittal of the Project for Transportation Alternatives Program federal funding in the amount of $900,000 (hereinafter "Federal Project Number TAP-3001(015)")
· An agreement between the City and MoDOT necessary to memorialize the mutual covenants, promises, and representations for Federal Project Number TAP-3001(015) for the Transportation Alternatives Program (hereinafter “TAP Funding Agreement”) was authorized in Bill No. 23-198.
· A supplemental agreement to the TAP Funding Agreement is necessary between the City and MoDOT to adjust Exhibit B - Project Schedule of the TAP Funding Agreement.
