Issue/Request:
Restructure the Design and Construction Manual (DCM) moving legislative functions into the Unified Development Ordinance(UDO).
Key Issues:
· Separate Legislative and Administrative functions
· Legislative functions of the UDO
· Administrative functions of the DCM
· Modernize and update all requirements and procedures
· Retain current process for changes to materials, methods and details in DCM
· Improve related requirements: security for public improvements and insurance
Background:
The CEDC unanimously recommended approval of the amendment to the Council at their May 13, 2020 meeting.
The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the amendment to the Council at their May 28, 2020 meeting.
