Issue/Request:
An Ordinance authorizing the award of bid number 2026-007 for the procurement and delivery of fuel services and products to John Moore Oil Company.
Key Issues:
· The City of Lee’s Summit issued Bid No. 2026-007 for the purchase of Fuel Services and Products
· The bid was advertised on the City’s website and on the City’s e-procurement site, Public Purchase, where a total of 20 vendors accessed the bid
· As of the close of the time period for submission and the bid opening of Bid No. 2017-055, on August 29th, a total of two (2) responses were received by the City
· Based upon the evaluation of responses, the project evaluation committee recommended the award of Bid No. 2026-007 to John Moore Oil Company.
This contract gives the city the ability to purchase and have delivered petroleum products to city owned fuel sites and used by the city of Lee's Summit fleet vehicles. The contract lasts for one year with four possible one year renewals at the city's option based on each years pricing. The ordinance authorizes the City Manage to renew the contract if pricing is acceptable.
Funding has been identified for the purchase of these petroleum products in the City Council approved FY26 Budget.

I move to recommend to the City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 2026-007 for a one-year contract with four (4) possible renewals for fuel services and products to John Moore Oil Company not to exceed the annually adopted budget the FY26 budget amount being $850,000, per year and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
