Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 962-2 for the CIPP Lining and LCRs Project, as part of the I/I Removal - CIPP Lining, Manhole Rehab, and LCRs - FY24, to Kissick Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $1,233,922.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
To address aging infrastructure and capacity concerns using trenchless technology to reduce Inflow and Infiltration (I/I).
The project consists of:
Base Bid: CIPP lining of approximately 3,930 linear feet of VCP pipe.
Alternate Bid No. 1: 82 Lateral Connection Repairs (LCRs).
Alternate Bid No. 2: 185 LCRs.
Project No. 962-2 is funded by the Sewer Construction Fund and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Wastewater Legislative Priority grant funds.
Water Utilities issued a bid for Project No. 962-2 on August 26, 2024, in accordance with local policies and state statutes. Bids were opened on September 26, 2024.
Kissick Construction Company, Inc. (hereinafter “Contractor”) was determined to be the lowest and most responsive and responsible bidder by City staff.
The requested amount is for the Base Bid plus Alternate Bid No. 1 plus Alternate Bid No. 2.
The requested amount is $1,233,922.00.
The City desires to enter into an agreement with the Contractor to construct Project No. 962-2.
