Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 205 for the Bowlin Tank - Recoating Project to Cunningham Sandblasting & Painting Co. in the amount of $677,100.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· The project consists of recoating the interior, spot coating repairs to the exterior, and exterior grout replacement on Bowlin Tank. Bowlin Tank was last recoated and repaired in 2008.
· Project No. 205 is funded by the Water Equipment Replacement Fund for FY2026.
· Water Utilities issued a bid for Project No. 205 on November 5, 2025, in accordance with local policies and state statutes. Bids were opened on December 17, 2025.
· Cunningham Sandblasting & Painting Co. (hereinafter “Contractor”) was determined to be the lowest and best responsive and responsible bidder by City staff.
· The City and Contractor desire to enter into an agreement for Project No. 205.
Proposed City Council Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 205 for the Bowlin Tank - Recoating Project to Cunningham Sandblasting & Painting Co. in the amount of $677,100.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of an Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 205 for the Bowlin Tank - Recoating Project to Cunningham Sandblasting & Painting Co. in the amount of $677,100.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
