Key Issues:

The CEDC has requested a discussion related to the number and type of chickens allowed to be kept on residential property. 

 

Staff is seeking direction from the committee on recommended changes to the number of allowable chickens.

 

Background:

Chapter 5 - ANIMALS, Article VII. - CHICKENS, Sec. 5-200 - Number and type of chickens allowed of the Lee's Summit Code of Ordinances limits the maximum number of chickens allowed to six (6).
