Issue/Request:
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE EXTENDED SUPPORT AGREEMENT FOR THE LAWSON ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING SYSTEM BY AND BETWEEN INFOR (US) INC. (FORMERLY LAWSON SOFTWARE AMERICAS, INC.) AND THE CITY OF LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI IN THE AMOUNT OF $28,755.11 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SAME BY AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY.
Key Issues:
In order to maintain product support of the City's Enterprise Resource Planning system, the City must purchase from Infor (formerly Lawson) Extended Support for services from June 1, 2016 - May 31, 2017. The current version of the software the city is running moved from mainstream support to extended support effective June 1, 2016, and a premium is now being charged to clients to obtain this support.
This Ordinance authorizes the City to purchase extended support services from Infor as set forth in the attached Order Form for an amount of $28,755.11 and authorizes the City Manager to execute said Order Form.

FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE EXTENDED SUPPORT AGREEMENT FOR THE LAWSON ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING SYSTEM BY AND BETWEEN INFOR (US) INC. (FORMERLY LAWSON SOFTWARE AMERICAS, INC.) AND THE CITY OF LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI IN THE AMOUNT OF $28,755.11 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SAME BY AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY.
