Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2024-065 for Professional Engineering Services for the Alignment Study of Scherer Road/Parkway, Scherer Parkway, and Longview Boulevard by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Lochmueller Group, Inc, for an amount not to exceed $686,365.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.

Key Issues
· The Alignment Study of Scherer Road/Parkway, Scherer Parkway, and Longview (hereinafter "Project") was authorized in the current Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) adopted by City Council

· The project will be funded from the voter-approved 2017 CIP Sales Tax Renewal and 2023 Transportation Bond Issue funds

· The City staff issued RFQ No. 2024-065 to conduct a Qualification Based Selection for professional engineering services, in accordance with state statutes, federal regulations, and local procurement policies

· Lochmueller Group, Inc was selected as the best qualified firm for the project and satisfactorily conducted negotiations for scope and fee with City staff

· The City desires to enter into an agreement with the Engineer to complete the Project.
