Presentation: Unified Development Ordinance Updates

Issue/Request:
Staff is proposing these basic updates to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) that are a combination of more precise submittal requirements and changes that reflect common modifications granted by the City Council. The updates should reduce the amount of modifications proposed to the Council so that the public hearing can be focused more on the land uses than issues, rather than the more minor issues such as landscape buffers and tree caliper. The attached presentation outlines the proposed changes. Staff is requesting permission to continue the amendment through the Planning Commission and City Council public hearing process. No ordinance is before the CEDC.

I move to recommend staff continue the UDO amendment process and move these ordinance changes to the Planning Commission and City Council public hearing process.
