Issue/Request:

The applicant proposes to replace an existing 15' wide x 9' deep second story uncovered deck with a larger 15’ wide x 20’ deep deck.  The proposed deck results in a 15’ rear yard setback, requiring a 10' variance to the minimum 25' rear yard setback for uncovered decks.

 

Proposed Motion:

I move to APPROVE a 10' variance to the minimum 25’ rear setback requirement for an uncovered deck in the R-1 zoning district, to allow an uncovered deck to maintain a 15’ setback from the rear property line.
