An Ordinance approving a Specialized Aviation Service Organization (SASO) between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Altas Aero, LLC for a period of 5 years with continuing options for renewal to perform aircraft washing and detailing services at the Kansas City / Lee's Summit Regional Airport and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Key Issues:
Altas Aero, LLC is a start-up mobile Aircraft Washing and Detailing company based in Lee's Summit. They will be providing mobile aircraft washing, detailing, and brightwork polishing services to corporate, and general aviation aircraft owners at the Kansas City - Lee's Summit Regional Airport.
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council for approval of an Ordinance approving a Specialized Aviation Service Organization (SASO) between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Altas Aero, LLC for a period of 5 years with continuing options for renewal to perform aircraft washing and detailing services at the Kansas City / Lee's Summit Regional Airport and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Background:
This is a new start-up business. Business is based in Lee's Summit, but will also be providing service at other KC Regional Airports.
Impact/Analysis:
This type of service, along with other amenities, helps attract new customers and benefits those currently based at LXT.
