Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between Jackson County and Guier Fence Company, to purchase fencing materials, installation, and repair services as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
Key Issues:
-The current cooperative contract to purchase fencing materials, installation, and repair services is expiring
-The contract is used for installation of new fence on City and Parks properties.
-The repair part is used on City fences damaged by weather events or vehicles
-The Jackson County contract allows other public agencies to Piggyback on their contracts
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between Jackson County and Guier Fence Company, to purchase fencing materials, installation, and repair services as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
Background:
The City is using a cooperative contract, the contract is expiring soon
Jackson County issued a bid and awarded a contract for the needed items and service to Guier Fence Company
The historical spend with Guier Fence Company has been: FY21 $85,383, FY20 $24,637, FY19 $83,490, FY18 $31,731
Impact/Analysis:
Use of this contract would be based on the annual appropriations approved by the City Council.
