Body

An Ordinance authorizing the execution of a work order in accordance with the City's on-call construction services agreement (Contract 2024-057-1) with TC Fuller Construction LLC., for the expansion of the Water Utilities Service Center Parking Lot in the amount of $102,205, and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents.

 

Key Issues:

 

•   The City contracted with HDR Engineering, Inc., to design expansion of the Water Utilities Service Center parking lot to provide 11 additional parking spaces to accommodate growth with the Utility and a variety of uses.

 

•    The Final Development Plan was approved on April 28, 2025.

 

    Pursuant to Ordinance No. 9880, the City has an on-call construction services contract with TC Fuller Construction, LLC.

 

•    The City desires to use the City’s on-call construction services contract with TC Fuller Construction, LLC to complete the modifications to the Water Utilities Service Center Parking Lot project.

 

•    The Project was included in the FY 2026 Capital Improvement Plan with funding from the Sewer Construction Fund.

 

 

 

Proposed Committee Motion:

I move to recommend to the City Council approval of an Ordinance authorizing the execution of a work order in accordance with the City's on-call construction services agreement (Contract 2024-057-1) with TC Fuller Construction LLC., for the expansion of the Water Utilities Service Center Parking Lot in the amount of $102,204.23, and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents.

 

Proposed City Council Motion:

FIRST MOTION: I move to advance to second reading an Ordinance authorizing the execution of a work order in accordance with the City's on-call construction services agreement (Contract 2024-057-1) with TC Fuller Construction LLC., for the expansion of the Water Utilities Service Center Parking Lot in the amount of $102,204.23, and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents.

 

SECOND MOTION:  I move for the adoption of an Ordinance authorizing the execution of a work order in accordance with the City's on-call construction services agreement (Contract 2024-057-1) with TC Fuller Construction LLC., for the expansion of the Water Utilities Service Center Parking Lot in the amount of $102,204.23, and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents.

 

Background:

 

When originally constructed, the Water Utilities Service Center was planned to be expanded as growth of the Utility required.  Current staffing levels require further expansion of site parking for employee and visitor vehicles.  The Capital Improvements Plan includes this parking lot expansion in FY 2026.
