Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 2027-002 for Public Works Maintenance Facility's Salt Dome #1 roof replacement to Cornerstone Construction Solutions and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
• The Procurement and Contract Services Department formally solicited Bid No. 2027-002 for Salt Dome #1 Re-roofing at Public Works Maintenance Facility via its e-bidding service, Public Purchase, on August 10, 2026.
• Thirty (30) bidders were notified via Public Purchase. Twenty-five (25) potential bidders accessed the online bid documents.
• On the bid opening date of September 3, 2026, the Procurement and Contract Services Department received three (3) bids. After review and checking references, the project manager deemed it prudent to recommend the lowest and most responsive bidder, which is Cornerstone Construction Solutions.

I move to recommend to the City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 2027-002 for Public Works Maintenance Facility's Salt Dome #1 roof replacement to Cornerstone Construction Solutions and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.

Background:
The roof on Salt Dome #1 at the Public Works Maintenance Facility is original to the structure and exhibits deterioration and brittle shingles. The roof is due for replacement. The roof replacement project cost is $71,500.00 and requires City Council approval before it can proceed. This is a BERP funded project.
Impact/Analysis:
Replacement of the roof on Salt Dome #1 will protect the City's investment in the salt that Public Works uses to keep roads clear and drivable in the winter.
